28 Apr Kentucky Derby Pie Milkshake
Hello bloggy friends! It’s been quite some time! In fact, it’s been almost an entire month – yikes! When I decided to traipse around Europe for 2.5 weeks I knew it was going to be difficult to return and jump right back into things, but I don’t think I realized just quite how difficult it would be. There has definitely been a considerable readjustment period, as is evident by my prolonged absence from this space. I think they call it reverse culture shock? I call it holy-shit-why-am-I-sitting-at-a-desk-and-where-the-hell-is-my-glass-of-wine?! Or something like that.
What I’m mostly trying to say is, I’m sorry this took so long and I missed you all terribly! And on a positive note, I’m finally feeling like life has returned to some semblance of normal. The suitcases are unpacked, the laundry is washed and put away, and while I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover, my vacation hangover seems to have, for the most part, passed. Which means, I’m ready to throw some energy into this whole blogging thing. Hooray!
I’m slowly working my way through all of our trip photos (there are so many!) and editing my favorites to share with you guys. If everything goes as planned the first round (Istanbul!) should be up very soon. But until then, I’m easing back into things with a brand new post up on Camille Styles – Kentucky Derby Pie Milkshakes, just in time for this weekend’s race! Because sometimes when you have a vacation hangover, the last thing you want to do it make a real pie.
Also, fact: Wearing a big floppy hat and speaking in your best southern drawl seems infinitely less goofy with a boozy milkshake in your hand. CLICK HERE to hop on over and check it out!

Posted at 14:58h, 28 AprilHaving grown up far from Kentucky and the South, I never really took notice of the Kentucky Derby until recent years, but somehow I have a feeling that I’ll have no problem getting on board with these milkshakes! They look absolutely delectable!![My Profile](http://butterlustblog.com/wp-content/plugins/commentluv/images/littleheart.gif)

Eventually, all of those lazy glasses of wine on Italian patios made me realize that moving to Europe was really the only way to go 🙂![My Profile](http://butterlustblog.com/wp-content/plugins/commentluv/images/littleheart.gif)
