I’m in ~40,000 feet in the air somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean! Likely passed out thanks to Benadryl, and leaving little puddles of drool on Steve’s shoulder…
We’re on our way to Turkey, the Czech Republic & Hungary for 2.5 weeks! I’m going do my best tourist impersonation as I eat, drink, eat, snap, and eat my way through Eastern Europe (and even a tiny corner of Asia!). I haven’t had much time for planning, but I figure as long as I know how to say cake in Turkish, Czech and Hungarian, I’ll be able to make at least a few friends along the way, right? <– Also, that’s a hint. PLEASE leave tips/recommendations in the comments if you have them!
All of this means that I will be M.I.A. from this little space for the first half of April. I’ll miss you all terribly, but fear not, my regular posting schedule will resume at the end of the month once I return and recover from jet lag and over-consumption of Hungarian goulash. In the meantime, I’ll be posting photos of my adventures on Instagram so follow along there for a very-reasonable-and-definitely-not-annoying amount of trip pics!…maybe.
Talk to y’all in a couple of weeks!
Hoşçakal! Na shledanou! Viszlát!
OH!! And if you haven’t already checked them out, I posted these Blood Orange & Amaretto Mascarpone Trifles on Camille Styles last week. They’re a perfectly spring-y shade of pink, and just a tiny bit boozy because I’m on vacation!! WHOOP!

Posted at 10:01h, 30 MarchYou are going to have a blast! I am from Turkey, and have also been to Hungary and the Czech Republic (Prague). I hope that you like Turkey- and I know that you will LOVE the food there. Eat everything you can… especially the sweets. I am so jealous!! The history, the people and the sights will absolutely make your visit to these countries unforgettable. Enjoyyyyy!

Posted at 17:10h, 01 AprilWhat an awesome trip! I’ve been to Turkey twice but still haven’t visited Istanbul, it’s definitely on my wish list :). I live in a small but lovely country called Slovenia just next to Hungary. Budapest is really nice and also Prague if you are visiting these two cites. Enjoy your trip, I am sure you will have an awesome time, there is nothing better than travelling and FOOD of course :D. Tjasa x
