Nutella Molten Cakes + No-Churn Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream, for Camille Styles

Nutella Molten Cakes + No-Churn Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Life has been a little hectic and I’m about 24 hours late on this announcement (argh) so let’s just get right to the point! I am beyond excited to tell y’all about a little somethin’ I’ve been baking on the side! Drumroll, please…

I’ve officially launched my very first post on Camille Styles, where (starting yesterday) I’ll be contributing monthly via my very own, buttery sweets-obsessed column, The Sweeter Side!!! I’ve been a fan of Camille Styles for ages. If you’re not familiar, go check out her beautiful site immediately. Her work is drop-dead gorgeous, and as a local Austin blogger I’ve spent the last few years looking up to her as creative mind and successful blogger who has a strong presence not only in the Austin community, but far and beyond our beloved city as well. To be even a small part of her team is a huge honor and I’m still sitting over here pinching myself. Is this real life?

Speaking of her team, Camille has managed to surround herself with some of the most talented and creative women I’ve had the pleasure of (if only very briefly) meeting. If you can’t tell, I’m 100% fangirling out over here, so a huge THANKS to Camille + team for letting Butterlust be a part of your space!

Now, onto the dessert! My first post is a Valentine’s inspired dessert intended to be a simple yet indulgent ending to a romantic meal at home. I haven’t mentioned it here yet, but Steve and I are taking off on a European adventure in March (deets to come) and we’re pinching pennies now so that we can live a little larger abroad. For us, that means that instead of a fancy schmancy night on the town for Valentine’s Day, we’re planning a special evening in. BUT I’m a firm believer that just because we’re staying home, it doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice good food, wine or (especially) a decadent dessert. On the menu: Nutella Molten Cakes with No-Churn Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream. I seriously could not stop myself from scarfing down bite after bite of these perfect little cakes as I was photographing them. They’re messy in the best way possible, a little sexy and completely indulgent — CLICK HERE to head on over to Camille Styles for more drool-worthy photos and the recipe!

XO, Katie
